The Motus Shortcut
Add it in one tap: Add the Motus Shortcut
Then in Motus: Profile → Integrations → Apple Health → Finish. It uses only Apple's own Shortcuts actions, no other app.
What it does
- Reads Steps, Active Energy, Dietary Energy, Weight and Sleep from Apple Health. Nothing else: no heart rate, workouts, medical records or location, and it never changes anything in Health.
- First run (from Finish): the last 30 days, to fill your charts. It takes about a minute: keep Shortcuts open, with the screen on, until it brings you back to Motus (in another app, iOS may cut it off).
- Every run after (the daily automation, or a tap): the last 3 days of steps and energy, 2 nights of sleep, and a week of food and weight to catch late entries.
- iPhone and Watch Steps and energy are sent a day at a time with the name of the device that recorded each reading, so Motus can count the busiest device each day instead of adding them together. The names are used for that and not kept.
- Where it sends Only to your Motus account. Finish gives it your account's address and a private token, kept in a small file (
motus.txt) in the Shortcuts folder. Disconnect in Motus cancels the token.
Make it run by itself
- In Shortcuts, open Automation and tap +.
- Choose Time of Day, a morning time, Daily.
- Choose Run Immediately, then the Motus shortcut.
If the Shortcut ever says it can't read a type, open the Health app → your picture → Apps → Shortcuts and turn that type on.
